5 Must-Try Sharbat Mixes to Keep You Cool All Summer

Close your eyes and think about summer as a kid.

The afternoons that went on forever, games that only ended when someone got called inside, and the heat that somehow never felt as bad as it does now. Back then, the fix was always the same, a tall glass of sharbat, made with love.

Relatives would come home to surprise you and within minutes, a big jug would appear on the table. Maa's quiet way of making everyone feel at home. After a heavy Sunday lunch, it was something cold and spiced that settled everything down. And after hours of playing in the sun, you'd drag yourself to the kitchen and she'd already have a glass waiting.

Sharbat was never just a drink. It was the answer to almost everything that summer could throw at you.

Mother's Recipe's Sharbat range brings all of that back. Five flavours, each one rooted in a real memory, and each one more versatile than you'd think.

Here are two recipes for each, because one is never enough.

Mother's Recipe Mango Panna

Mango Panna Chaas

Whisk 1 part Mango Panna syrup into a glass of chilled buttermilk. Add a pinch of black salt and roasted jeera powder. Stir and serve over ice. Tangy, cooling, and surprisingly filling the perfect lunch companion.

Mango Panna Granita Mix Mango Panna syrup with water and pour into a flat tray. Freeze for 4 hours, scraping with a fork every hour to get that icy, slushy texture. Spoon into a glass and serve immediately. Wahi bachpan wala feel, but make it fancy.

Mother's Recipe Rose Syrup

Rose Milk Lassi Blend chilled curd, cold milk, and a generous pour of Rose Syrup with a handful of ice until smooth and frothy. Pour into a tall glass and top with crushed pistachios. Creamy, floral, and just sweet enough to feel like a treat.

Rose Falooda Layer cooked falooda sev at the bottom of a tall glass. Mix Rose Syrup with cold milk and pour over. Add soaked sabja seeds and finish with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. That roadside falooda wala feeling, right at home.

Mother's Recipe Khus Syrup

Khus Lassi Blend Khus Syrup with thick curd, cold milk, and ice until smooth. Pour into a clay pot or tall glass. Earthy, cooling, and deeply refreshing, the kind Dadi always said would "garmi nikaal dega."

Khus Mint Mojito Muddle a few fresh mint leaves in a glass. Add Khus Syrup, a squeeze of lime, and top with sparkling water. Stir once and add ice. The mocktail your guests will ask for again and again.

Mother's Recipe Jeera Masala Syrup

Jeera Masala Soda Pour Jeera Masala Syrup over crushed ice, top with chilled soda water, and add a wedge of lime on the rim. The fizz lifts the spice beautifully, sharp, refreshing, and better than any store-bought masala drink.

Jeera Chaas Stir Jeera Masala Syrup into a glass of chilled buttermilk. Finish with a pinch of black pepper and fresh coriander on top. Light, digestive, and exactly what you need after a heavy meal on a hot afternoon.

Mother's Recipe Lemon Ginger

Lemon Ginger Iced Tea Brew a strong cup of black tea and let it cool completely. Mix in Lemon Ginger Syrup and pour over a glass full of ice. Add a sprig of mint. Looks like something off a café menu takes five minutes.

Lemon Ginger Nimbu Soda Add Lemon Ginger Syrup to a glass of crushed ice, squeeze in a little fresh lime, and top with sparkling water. Stir once and drink fast. Sharp, fizzy, and absolutely perfect for those afternoons when the heat just won't quit.

Five flavours, ten recipes, and one thing in common, that warm, familiar feeling of a cold glass made with love. Pick your favourite and get pouring.
